TMOTCS: THE SUPREME AND MOST VALUABLE BOOK!

There are many wonderful books in the world but the Bible is the supreme. It is unique and totally different from every other book. It is different because of its source. It is the book that revealed the mind and plan of God. David said he hid the scripture in his heart so as not to sin against God (Ps 119:11). David knew that all the statutes, the injunctions, doctrines, judgments, the commandments and other revelations contained in the bible are from God and are authentic and accurate in matters of history and science.

The Bible is supreme because it is stable and up-to-date. Although it was written centuries ago, it cannot be amended. It is reliable, authoritative, accurate and timeless. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but the word of God will not pass away (Mat 24:35). The Bible is sufficient because it contains all we need in life for faith, guidance, help, health, wisdom, prosperity and practice. David stored up the scripture in his heart and made it the centre of his life and he prospered became a man after God’s heart!

David retained the scripture in his heart for he knew it would have a sanctifying effect upon his life. The scripture reveals God’s plan for man, His mind and His provisions. It points us to the Saviour Himself; Who is the Sin-bearer, the Forgiver of sins, the Advocate and the Intercessor; Who gives power to us to live a new life in Him (John 8:11). So, we are not to hide the Bible but read it, study it, digest it, meditate therein, get it into head, store it in the heart, make it centre of life and become prosperous men and women after God’s heart.

The Bible is life to those that find it and health to their flesh. (Prov 3:1-4)
