TMOTCS: SATAN TREMBLES WHEN PRAYER IS OFFERED!

Praying at all times makes Satan to tremble all day. He even trembles when the weakest believer is on his knees praying. So prayer is the secret of life and the greatest weapon against the devil. Praying without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17), is the most effective armour against the devil. Jesus said that men ought always to pray and not to faint (Luke 18:1). Prayer silences satan and makes him powerless. So, prayer is not an option but a fundamental tool for Christians to fight the devil.

Praying at all times is of tremendous importance to put the devil at bay and make us remain in direct touch with the throne of God always. The fact that the devil roams about seeking for whom to devour, makes it mandatory for believers to pray without ceasing so as to escape being caught unguarded. Apart from regular prayers, believers are to pray at special times like: when in trouble (Psa 55:16); when in sickness (Jam 5:14); when tempted (Psa 69:1); when persecuted (Psa 7:1); and when in any situation of need (Phil 4:6), to prevent the devil from taking control over such situations.

Prayer must be from a pure heart to be effectual. The fervent prayer of the righteous avails much (Jam 5:16). Prayers must consist of adoration, thanksgiving, praise, and not only of petitions. We are to pray persistently to wade off the devices of the devil like: distraction from praying; preoccupation with worldly things; discouragement in hard times; despair and frustration for delayed answers to prayers. Aside from many things prayer can do and is doing; it renders the devil powerless and drives him away from us. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. A prayerful christian is a powerful One! James 4:7
