TMOTCS: KNOW GOD EXPERIENTIALLY AND RECEIVE FROM HIM ABUNDANTLY

The measure in which a Man receives from God is determined by the measure he knows Him. The more we hear, receive, obey and live out to His Word, the more we shall know Him and receive from Him. “Acquaint now thyself with Him and be at peace; thereby good shall come unto thee” (Prov 22:21). So, if we submit to God and be at peace with Him, prosperity will come to us. “Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence and thou shall have plenty of silver”. (Prov 22:25)

To know God is different from knowing about Him. Today, many people know about God but do not know Him. There is a theoretical knowledge of God and there is also an experiential knowledge of Him. However, our benefit in God is a derivative of our experiential knowledge of Him. To know God experientially is to return to Him and receive Him. To return because we have wandered away from Him (Isa 53:6); and to receive Him is to trust Him and obey His commandments (Josh 1:8).

When we know God experientially, we become strong, virile and robust in Him (Eph 6:10); we will become His children and cannot sin anymore (1 John 3:9); we will become enriched and possess all our possessions (Obad 17); we will find true satisfaction in Him who changes not (Heb 13:8); we will receive answers to our prayers (1 John 3:22); we will be able to witness for Him and work according to His Will (Mat 7:21); and our path will become a shining light, shining more and more unto the perfect day (Prov 4:18).
