TMOTCS: HELP IN TIME OF NEED!

From where is your help in times of need and who do you look up to? While some people rely on men and look up to them for assistance during time of need, the believer will say “”the Lord is my helper”” No doubt that when we are in need, friends and relatives come to our aid; but quite often than not, they cannot help because of inadequate resources. But the Lord’’s resources are never inadequate. He is the all sufficient God and the Great Provider (Psa 65:9).

The Lord\’s help is always available, appropriate and divine and it is personally dispensed to each person according to his or her need. God resources are never inadequate and He is the Helper in every time of need (Heb 13:6). Today many people are suffering untold privations and lack because they fail to key into the promises of God. But God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19).

However, to receive from God is to be willing to minister to the needs of others too. As believers, we must be helpful and sympathetic to others and share generously with them according to our capacity. We must possess the christian virtue of giving which in turn attracts blessings and help from God. While Lord is the Helper in time of need, only His children can ascend His throne for help in time of need. Every child that is calm, trusting, contented and with unruffled mind will always receive help from Him. (Ps 121:1-2)
