LEARNING TO TRUST GOD IN HARD TIMES
There is no doubt that life brings about hardships but as believers, we have been taught to glory in hardships and tribulations because they are spiritual lessons that produce perseverance and experience. (Rom 5:3). Every time of stress is going to be short-lived and the outcome will be an increase in patience and endurance, improving our ability to get stronger through other challenges.
We are to rejoice in hope, patient in tribulation, and to continue steadfastly in prayers. (Rom 12:12). The God of comfort comforts His people throughout times of mental pressure, enabling them to offer the same comfort to one another when going through stressful periods. No situation is bigger than God, and He is faithful, promising a way out for us when the tempter tempts.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. (Rom 8:35,37-39)
