JUST A BRIEF INSIGHT INTO THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON

The great world war which will engulf the Middle East at the end of this age is known as Battle of Armageddon and according to prophesy, it will take place in Israel. It will occur after the Great Tribulation Period, at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, when He returns to set up His Kingdom on earth. It will be known as battle of that great day of God Almighty (Rev 16:14). The battle will be of great slaughter that was never seen on earth and it will be between the army of Christ and that of the Antichrist.

In the war, Jesus will come in all of His wrath and glory with His army to deliver Israel from the hand of the Antichrist and will punish sinful nations for their sins. Those who have received the mark of the Beast will come to judgement and Jesus will take authority over the earth and remove the kingdom and reign of the Antichrist which will have been on for seven years. The main significance of the war is that the Antichrist and his army will assemble in Jerusalem, the Holy Land to oppose Christ in His return to the earth.

So, the Armageddon battle will bring inglorious end to Man\’s earthly kingdom according to prophet Daniel where the great image disintegrates into chaff when struck by the stone cut out without hands (Dan 2:34-35). The tenure of Antichrist will expire, the Beast will be destroyed and the everlasting kingdom of Jesus on earth will be inaugurated (Dan 7:11-13). Jerusalem will no longer be under the control of the unregenerates known as the gentiles and Israel will once again be exalted.
